2023 will be the 19th running of the Timberhonger 10k, so called as most of the route is on Timberhonger Lane. It has traditionally been part of Bromsgrove Carnival weekend with all profits donated to charity.

Over the years the race has become famous for it's friendly Carnival atmosphere, great crowds at the finish, and a picturesque course with a now infamous hill.

The Timberhonger 10k is run under UK Athletics rules.

The Course
The 10k course is accurately measured with a course certificate. It is a picturesque but challenging route with a number of testing hills and is suitable for first timers and experienced runners alike. The route starts at the Bromsgrove end of Timberhonger Lane, close to Sanders Park at 6.00pm, then snakes its way down Timberhonger Lane for approximately 3k before doing two 2k loops round Berry Lane and Newhouse Lane, then returning back up Timberhonger Lane to Sanders Park. The race finishes with a run across the back field of Sanders Park to the finishing line near the front car park. All roads will be closed to traffic for the duration of the race.

The new 5k course may be shorter but it is no less of a challenge with three hills in three miles. As in the 10k, you have the pleasure of doing the Timberhonger hill from both directions plus we have added Monsieur Hall's hill in for good measure - We're sure you are going to love that. Part of the course is off road on marked paths linking Monsieur Hall's Lane to Warridge Lodge Farm so officially it is a multi-terrain race but 4k is on tarmac.

The Children's Challenge is an unmeasured course of approximately 800m for the under 8s and 1500m for under 11s held entirely within Sanders Park

Date and Time
The 2023 race will be on Saturday 15th July coinciding with Bromsgrove Carnival Saturday. Start time will be 5.00pm for the Children's Challenge, 6.00pm for the 10k, and 6.10pm for the 5k.
